How to edit or create new itineraries

This guide will allow you to edit or create new itineraries for your Trip Planner, using the DXP Dashboard .

*Please note the itineraries feature is only available to subscribers of the Trip Planner. 

How to create a new itinerary?

Watch the video or follow the steps below.  

1. Login in you DXP Dashboard
   
   
2. Head to "Content Management" in the DXP Dashboard
   
   
3. Click on "Itinerary Builder"
   
   
4. Enter the title, description and an image for your new itinerary.
   
   
5. Hit Create. This will display your newly created itinerary in the list of all itineraries as INACTIVE.
   
   
6. Go to your Places tab and search for the points of interest that you want to include in the new itinerary. You can use the search bar, or click through the Places Categories.
   
   
7. To add a point of interest to the itinerary, click the car icon, and select the itinerary from the list.  You can repeat this step until you have all the points of interest you wish.
   
   
8. Go back to Itinerary Builder, open your new and inactive itinerary, and check if you want to change the order of points of interest. Something we always recommend is to try and create an as easy as possible route on the map, that would make sense while driving between the points. You can drag-and-drop the points of interest to change the order they appear.
   
   
9. Once everything looks good, click PUBLISH on the top right corner of the itinerary.
   
   
10. Done! Your new itinerary is live on your website.
    
    

How to edit existing itineraries

1. Login in you DXP Dashboard
   
   
2. Head to "Content Management" in the DXP Dashboard
   
   
3. Click on "Itinerary Builder"
   
   
4. Find the itinerary you want to edit in the Itineraries List
   
   
5. Open the itinerary
   
   
6. Click "Remove" to delete a point of interest
   
   
7. Change the photo, title or description at any time.
   
   
8. To add new points of interest, follow the steps below:
   1. Go to your Places tab and search for the points of interest that you want to include in the new itinerary. You can use the search bar, or click through the Places Categories. 
   2. To add a point of interest to the itinerary, click the car icon, and select the itinerary from the list.  You can repeat this step until you have all the points of interest you wish.
