Clarification on ITI Digital's Event Calendar Sources & Pulling Methods

Our Event Delivery Sources

Our system can aggregate events from Facebook Business Pages (your provided specific list of pages), Eventbrite, and Google-indexed events

Google Indexed Events:

Google's indexing of certain event pages/websites is at the criteria of their search engine rankings. Still, if websites have unique event URLs and follow overall SEO best practices, Google's Event Experience search page sees their events. And with that, we can aggregate them and push to your dashboard. This is not a 100% guarantee, but in our experience, this source has consistently delivered an increase in various sites and platforms that serve as event hosts.

If Google is not pulling events from a particular venue or organizer, please reach out to ITI Digital's support team and provide examples of events that were not pulled. We are able to improve the Google API results with Deep Search Keywords (see below).

Facebook Business Pages:

Facebook Events will be pulled into the DXP Dashboard if the page listing the event is a public business page, and the page has been added to the Facebook Business Pages List in your dashboard.

Eventbrite:

Eventbrite events are pulled into the system according to the location of the venue/host. Cities can be added and removed by the ITI Digital support team. Please reach out if any changes to the list of Eventbrite cities are needed.

Limitations of the Event Calendar Sources

Google's choice of indexing of specific event platforms (e.g., ETix, AllEventsIn, and others) plus business websites is solely at Google's criteria of search engine rankings. We cannot control what events are indexed and where they are indexed in the search results.

  1. Typically, we see that if websites have unique event URLs and follow overall SEO best practices, their events are seen by Google's Event Experience search page.
  2. Only once Google has indexed the event can we aggregate them and push them to your dashboard. However, we cannot guarantee 100% event delivery, nor that all businesses you seek have met this criterion with Google's search engines.

Google aggregates the data populating the DXP Dashboard from third party websites. Many larger platforms and organizations build their websites with anti-crawling code to prevent data from being taken in this manner, which can impact the information reflected in the DXP Dashboard. While this does not happen frequently, this scenario should be considered if a particular field shows incomplete or missing information in an event listing.

Explore Deep Search Results

The Google Indexed events search results logic combines geofence and search terms. We do have a new possible method of aggregation using specific search terms, e.g., "trivia night in Savannah GA," to get more specific and go deeper in Google's search results. But again, this only works if the websites have been indexed first.

If you identify a particular venue or organizer with upcoming events that have not been pulled into the Dashboard, please reach out to the ITI Support Team so we may evaluate why a partner's events have not been aggregated, and if the Google Search Keyword parameters may be a solution.

It is valid to reiterate that ITI Digital does not guarantee delivery of 100% of events in your area. While working with various destinations across the U.S., we have validated that our software can significantly minimize the research and input time for events. Working with your team, we can promptly address any questions and fine-tune your content delivery to your needs while having aligned expectations.
