How to import events from Excel

You can upload an Excel Spreadsheet of Events to the DXP Dashboard by downloading out Excel Template from 'Import events from Excel.'

The template is fairly straightforward with one exception, the Date/Time format is extremely strict and care must be taken to avoid errors. It is easiest to understand the format required by demonstrating an example:

The correct format for an event on May 26th 2024, from 7-9pm is:

2024-05-26T19:00-04:00 to 2024-05-26T21:00-04:00

Breakdown:

Start date/time 2024-05-26T19:00-04:00 to End date/time 2024-05-26T21:00-04:00

YYYY-MM-DD

T=Time(24hour clock)

The additional -04:00 after the start and end time is actually the timezone offset from ISO time. For EST (winter) it will be -05:00. For EDT (summer) it is -04:00.

Only a start date/time is required, end date/time may be added when the end of the event is known.

Follow these step below to upload your completed spreadsheet:

1. In the DXP Dashboard, navigate to Content Management - Events

2. Scroll down page to Import events from Excel

3.Select the Excel file to upload. (You can view sample Format for Excel before proceeding)

4.Click Next

5. Then select Approved>Save Events to complete import.

6. Confirmation provided for number of events successful imported.
