The biking and walking feature option on ITI Digital's Suggested Itineraries allows users to explore walking tourism assets, such as Downtown main streets, parks, and biking trails. Go beyond the driving itineraries and diversify the visitor's online resources.
Powered by Google Maps official routs, it provides an estimated arrival time and an overview of the route, with an option to view detailed step-by-step directions. It also considers any obstacles like steep hills, busy streets, or lack of sidewalks and bike lanes.
As the Destination manager, you can provide access to this feature in two ways:
a) Users of the website can customize the route by choosing their preferred method of travel.
OR
b) You can pre-determine one method of travel when the itinerary is published. This is a way to ensure visitors are exploring in the best-recommended way e.g., a downtown itinerary may be more efficient and user-friendly walking than trying to drive between points that are short in distance.
How To Customize The Itinerary Travel Mode - as a visitor to the website
