Itinerary Library V3: How to Build a Multi-Day Itinerary in DXP

Created by Grace Anne de Guzman, Modified on Thu, 26 Jun at 1:40 PM by Larissa Pohl

Now available in both Storytelling and 2D Map views, the Multi-Day Itineraries feature brings a new level of depth to destination storytelling. A highly requested enhancement, this customization option lets you organize a single itinerary by day, encouraging longer stays and deeper exploration. For example, a “Girls’ Weekend Getaway” can highlight distinct activities for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday—all within one itinerary.

It’s a powerful way to build weekend escapes, multi-city routes, or themed day-by-day adventures that feel custom-made.

✅ Available exclusively for the Unlimited Itineraries subscribers.
✅ Fully supported in Storytelling and 2D Map views.
✅ Displays the number of days and stops in the itinerary panel.
✅ Preserved in PDF exports for offline sharing.

Step-by-step: Create a Multi-Day Itinerary

Step 1: Log in to your DXP Dashboard, then navigate to:

Content Management → Itinerary Builder → V3 → Open New Itinerary Builder
You’ll land on the updated editing dashboard

Step 2: Select the Itinerary You Want to Edit

Once inside the Builder, scroll to view your list of existing itineraries—this is your Itinerary Library View, where you can select, edit, and organize itineraries. Choose the one you’d like to structure day by day, or start fresh by creating a new itinerary.

Step 3: Click the "Edit Days" button

In the Itinerary Builder V3, open any itinerary in either 2D Map or Storytelling view. You’ll see the “Edit Days” button appear between the attractions’ search bar and the attractions’ list

Step 4: Add, rename, reorder, or delete days

Click “+ Add Day” to create a new day. Use the pencil icon to rename days, the trash icon to remove them, and drag-and-drop to reorder.

Step 5: Click into a day to add places or events

Use the search bar within each day to assign attractions, events, or POIs.

Important Notes

✅ The multi-day format is supported in Storytelling and 2D Map views only

Days do not require specific calendar dates

In 3D Map view, only the first day displays (with an on-screen notice)

Exporting to PDF preserves the full multi-day structure
