We are excited to announce the next round of improvements for the ITI Digital's Digital Experience Platform (DXP)! This month's release will include several improvements that will immediately enhance your daily workflow, enhance content management, and improve the visitor experience on your website.

New Features

Events Calendar Module:

1. Google Event Image Upscaling, now you are in control!


Previously, the DXP system automatically enhanced all images it detected as 'low-quality' from Google Events, sometimes altering carefully curated visuals unnecessarily. Now, you have the control to choose which images to enhance, ensuring greater flexibility while preserving those you want unchanged.


✅ New 'Upscale Image' Button: choose which Event images to enhance.

✅ Prevents double-processing: after upscaling, the button disappears.

✅ Higher quality images for your Event Calendar.

  • Reduces the time spent manually replacing low-quality images.

Places Module:

2. Show Similar Places

Managing your Place listings just got smarter! Many DMOs manually add businesses and attractions that aren’t indexed by Google. With Show Similar Places, your Dashboard now flags potential duplicate listings when Google adds new ones—helping you keep your data clean and accurate.


✅ Identify manually created duplicates of Google Place listings.

✅ Keep Business data accurate and avoid confusion for website visitors.

1. Similar Events Tool

The algorithm powering the Similar Events Tool has been completely rebuilt, making it:

More accurate at identifying duplicate Event listings.

Time-saver! Streamline your workflow while reviewing Event listings.

2. New Event Calendar Filter: 'This Month'


Your visitors can now filter events by the current month, making it easier for them to find upcoming activities.

✅ New ‘This Month’ filter joins ‘Today, Tomorrow, This Weekend, Select Specific Dates’.
✅ 
Simplifies event discovery for visitors.


Places Module:

3. Enhanced Search for Places – Smarter Results


We’ve improved search accuracy with a more flexible, typo-friendly system. Now, users will get relevant results even if they:

✅ Misspell words (e.g., ‘restuarant’ instead of ‘restaurant’).
✅ 
Use different formats (e.g., ‘NYC’ vs. ‘New York City’).
✅ 
Type partial words (e.g., ‘coff’ for ‘coffee shop’).



4.  Updates to the ‘Submit Your Place’ Form


Submitting a business is now even more user-friendly!


Businesses can now submit multiple images when submitting their listing.

A new field allows businesses to share their contact phone number. 

The ‘Place Website’ field has been renamed ‘Your Website’ for clarity.

✅ A new ‘Facebook Page’ field lets businesses link directly to their profiles.

✅ A new ‘Owner Contact Information’ section enables business owners to privately share their contact details with the DMO (not visible to the public).

5. Enhanced PDF Exports for Places and Events

We’ve optimized PDF exports to make them more efficient and user-friendly:


Images Included: When exporting Places as PDFs, images are now seamlessly included for a more complete file. 

✅ Smoother Event Exports: Events now export without interruptions, so you can generate PDFs effortlessly, ensuring a smooth experience every time. 

 NEW! Smart Export Alerts: For large exports (100+ places), a helpful message now notifies you that processing may take longer—keeping you informed and in control.

6. Improved Category Management: No More Duplicate Names


We’ve improved category management to make organizing your content clearer and more efficient:


No More Duplicate Names – Categories must now have unique names, preventing confusion and accidental changes.
Smarter Organization – Listings are assigned correctly, edits only affect the intended category, and subcategories can be moved freely.
Clear Validation – If a duplicate name is entered, the system prompts you to choose a unique one for better management.


These updates streamline content organization, prevent errors, and keep your categories structured.

7. DXP Branding Update: Fresh Look & Easier Support Access


The DXP Dashboard login screen has a fresh new look!
